Farmers' Market Nutrition Program
The Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides WIC participants with coupons that can be used to purchase locally grown, fresh Florida fruits and vegetables.
This produce can be purchased from authorized farmers at selected farmers' markets during the program dates listed on the coupons.
Pregnant, postpartum or breast-feeding women, and children age 1-4 who are enrolled in the WIC program are eligible to participate in the FMNP.
The FMNP is in Alachua, Bay, Escambia, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Holmes, Jackson, Leon, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, St. Johns, Suwannee, Sumter, Union, Walton, Washington.
The Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides WIC participants with coupons that can be used to purchase locally grown, fresh Florida fruits and vegetables. This produce can be purchased at authorized farmers' markets from April 1 to July 31.
Pregnant, postpartum or breast-feeding women and children between the ages of 1 and 5 who are enrolled in the WIC program can participate in the FMNP. Participants will receive their FMNP coupons from the WIC clinic in which they are enrolled.
Participants can then take the coupons to the authorized farmers' market in their area and choose from FMNP-approved produce available from farmers at the market displaying this sign stating "We Gladly Accept FMNP Coupons Here."
