Thomas Croom joined the Department in 2003 and serves as the recruitment coordinator for the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign (FAPC). He assists in developing "Fresh from Florida" projects and working with agricultural industries in marketing their products and services. Thomas assists in the development of communication and media pieces, including Fresh From Florida Magazine, the Florida Agri-Journal and FAPC recruitment literature.
Through the Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C., he has received training in several areas related to public relations including political campaign and event management. He has experience building campaign strategy working with political and initiative campaigns. He spent three years managing information flow and community projects for a successful state think tank in Raleigh, North Carolina, where his duties included web site development, project management, event planning and management, coordinating publishing timelines, conducting member and public surveys, vendor negotiations and contributing efforts to direct mail fund-raising campaigns.
Thomas holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from North Carolina State University .
