2005 Excellence in Teaching about Agriculture: A Florida Awards Program
Teachers and Volunteers:
Florida Agriculture in the Classroom, Inc. (FAITC) each year sponsors an awards program for Florida teachers who demonstrate that they use Ag in the Classroom concepts in their classroom lessons. Teachers who are interested in nominating themselves or other teachers, or volunteers who are interested in nominating teachers, have until Jan. 17, 2005 to complete the enclosed application form and mail it to FAITC.
The three winning teachers and their supporting administrators will receive all expenses paid trips to the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Indianapolis, Ind. June 8-11, 2005.
FAITC enjoys recognizing these outstanding Ag in the Classroom teachers. One of these winning teachers will be chosen as the Florida nominee for the National Excellence in Teaching about Agriculture Award. Information about last year’s award winners is available on the FAITC website at www.agtag.org (Please note that if you applied in 2004 and did not win, you are eligible for this year’s awards program. Please re-apply if you continue to include agricultural concepts in your classroom studies.)
