Agriculture, along with tourism and construction, is one of the three economic legs on which Florida stands and prospers. The states 39,000 commercial farmers are the catalyst in an economic chain that stretches from the farm gate to the supermarket, with an impact of approximately $50 billion annually. This booklet provides a summary of the impact of agriculture on Florida. It briefly traces the historic progress of the industry and contains production and value facts on the states leading commodities, including county, state and national rankings.
