Melissa Hunt has been with the Division of Marketing and Development since 2002 where she serves as a Client Relations Manager helping to promote Florida agriculture through the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign. Her current duties include working as a liaison to Florida agricultural associations, attending industry trade events and community activities, developing print and media communications, and recruiting new members to the Department's "Fresh from Florida" campaign.
Melissa began her career in political campaigns. She served state Representative Lee Constantine as a legislative assistant, and served state Senator Charles H. Bronson as his legislative assistant until he was elected Commissioner of Agriculture. She then performed as an Assistant to the Commissioner, which involved serving as a communications liaison to constituents and community groups to communicate the voice of the Agriculture community effectively.
Melissa holds a bachelor's degree in politics and history from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina .
