FFA: Message From Commissioner Putnam

Adam Putnam, Florida Commissioner of Agriculture

Hi, I’m Adam Putnam, Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture.

I want to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your awards banquet. I wish I could be there in person to celebrate with each of you as we recognize all of your FFA members for their outstanding accomplishments in agricultural education.

As a former 4-H and FFA member myself, I understand the hard work and commitment that goes into making your local chapter a success. Each of you here tonight has played an important role in carrying out the FFA motto of “Premier Leadership, Personal Growth and Career Success.”

Not only are FFA members some of our state’s strongest leaders in your generation, but also some of our most important agricultural advocates in any generation.

As FFA members and supporters, you share the message of Florida agriculture everywhere you go and you do it in style. The strength of this industry is due, in part, to your efforts in promoting Florida’s 300 agricultural commodities.

I commend each of you on your efforts to strengthen your leadership skills and agricultural knowledge as a member of FFA. Your efforts are ensuring a promising future for yourself and for regardless of what career path you ultimately choose.

Congratulations on all your achievements and best wishes for a successful banquet. Thank you.
