Ag Exhibitors Sought For International Trade Show
TALLAHASSEE The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is urging Florida agribusiness firms to become exhibitors at the 1998 Florida International Agribusiness Trade Show, which will be held May 13-15 at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion in Ocala.
"Exhibitors will be able to display and demonstrate their products and services to a large gathering of international guests at the trade show," Florida Agriculture Commissioner Bob Crawford said. "This will be the 28th year the trade show has taken place."
The trade show will immediately follow the International Livestock Conference, sponsored by the University of Florida, which will be held May 10-13 at the Holiday Inn West in Gainesville.
The trade show features dairy and beef cattle, horses, swine, goats and rabbits, as well as farm machinery, equipment and supplies, and agricultural services and information.
Last years show, held in Tampa, attracted more than 250 buyers from 18 countries in Central and South America. The site for this years trade show features outstanding facilities, including unlimited outside exhibit space, a large indoor and outdoor arena, and unlimited tie space.
Major sponsors of the trade show include the Florida International Agricultural Trade Council (FIATC), the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the University of Florida, Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association, Seminole Stores, Baldwin Angus Ranch, Rohara Arabians and Oak Plantation Cattle Company.
