Neil A. Hattangadi
Region:
Orange
Category: Botany
School: Winter Park High School
Award: $25 Cash Award and Certificate
Project Title: No More Fertilizers?-Nitrogen Fixation With Non-Legumes

I am honored to have received the $25 special award you gave at the Florida State
Science Fair on April 14; thus I am writing this letter as a formal e expression of my
gratitude. Not only am I thankful for the money, but I am very happy that you
appreciated my project's goals in elimination of fertilizers trough biological nitrogen
fixation with non-legumes. I also enjoyed presenting my findings to your judges, who
were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
As a recipient of your prize, I can assure you that it will be well used. I am sure that you
are aware of the large financial burden young scientists like myself bear in purchasing
laboratory chemicals, biological specimens, apparatuses, and materials for presentation.
This monetary award will help me in offsetting a portion of the nearly $1000 I have spent
in my science research. Your prize shows your obvious concern and generosity towards
development of invaluable science research by high-school students. I hope you can
continue to distribute this wonderful award in the future.
Sincerely,
Neil Hattangadi

My name is David Nguyen and I am from the West Panhandle region in Pensacola,

and the six judges for your time and effort in making this possible. I am glad that I

coming up. I will be looking forward to the 1995 Science Fair and hope to make it to the
State Science Fair where I plan to do a project in the botany category. Once again, I
would like to say thank you to you and everyone else that was involved in the Science
Fair for this award.
