Florida Seafood Recipe
Pasta with Tomato Shrimp Sauce

Ingredients |

1 28-ounce can |
tomatoes |
1 |
medium onion, chopped |
1/2 teaspoon |
coarsely ground chili |
2 teaspoons |
fresh basil, chopped |
3 tablespoons |
fresh parsley, chopped |
2 tablespoons |
olive oil |
2 cloves |
garlic, minced |
1 pound |
linguine pasta |
1/2 pound |
shrimp, peeled and deveined |

grated Romano cheese to taste |

Preparation |
Purée tomatoes in food processor and place in a saucepan. Add onion, chili, basil, parsley, olive oil and garlic. Simmer on low for 20 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer until pink, approximately 3 minutes. Cook and drain pasta. Serve shrimp sauce over pasta. Sprinkle with Romano cheese.
