Florida Vegetable Recipe
Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients |

1 pound |
green beans, stem ends removed |
1 teaspoon |
salt |
1 tablespoon |
olive oil |
2 teaspoons |
garlic, minced |

salt and pepper to taste |

Preparation |
Bring a large pot of water to a boil; add 1 teaspoon of salt. Add green beans, uncovered and cook until tender, yet firm, approximately 6-8 minutes. Remove from pot and pour cold water over beans until cool. This will help beans retain vibrant green color. Heat a large saute pan, add oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add beans and garlic; saute for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. |
