Florida Vegetable Recipe

Florida Mixed Greens

Amount Ingredient
12 ounces salt pork
1 cup onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
4 hot peppers, minced
8-10 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
12 cups (1 bunch) mustard greens, washed and stripped
18 cups (1 bunch) collard greens, washed and stripped

In a large pot, sauté salt pork, onion, garlic and hot peppers. Add water, salt, pepper and bring to a boil. Add greens and simmer for 2 hours.
