As a Development Representative II with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Tom Thomas has developed and coordinated professional culinary competitions, educational programs for the foodservice industry and a system for recipe development. Tom directs the seafood and aquaculture food styling and photography for product brochures, news print and national publications.
He has appeared in a seafood preparation video for the Food Network, on local television demonstrating product handling and has been conducting live consumer demonstrations for the past 16 years. He also provides training in product handling, buying, storage and preparation for retailers and consumers. Tom has been in the food/seafood business for more than 30 years. After graduating from Florida International University's School of Hospitality Management, he worked at Morrison Management Services, served as the general manager for two retail seafood specialty markets, and was owner/operator of Goodlife's Restaurant in Winter Park, Florida.
