Green landscapes and recent rains can be deceptive.

I’m Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Bronson.

In spite of appearances, this is Florida's wildfire season.

Many wildfires are started by people who burn yard trash improperly.

But a small fire can become a wildfire in an instant.

The fire often escapes … destroys homes, businesses, and our beautiful forests.

Remember, it's wildfire season in Florida.

So, think before you burn.

Call your local Division of Forestry to learn how and when to burn safely.
